This collaboration represents an important milestone in our vision to make bioproduction faster, more accessible, and easier to industrialize through automation.
Since its creation, ProteoY has been developing a proprietary yeast-based platform capable of rapidly generating biological clones for the production of proteins, peptides, and RNA. By combining this expertise with Gemesis’ know-how in robotics and complex process automation, we are paving the way for a new generation of biotechnology tools.
As part of this partnership, an initial automated platform is currently under development to optimize key stages involved in the creation and monitoring of biological clones. The goal is to improve development speed, result reproducibility, and operational management while reducing manual intervention.
But this first step is only the beginning.
The two companies are already working toward a much broader vision: the development of systems capable of automating large parts of the bioproduction workflow. In the long term, these technologies could enable laboratories and industrial companies to locally produce their own biomolecules using compact and intelligent platforms.
